We offer assessment and treatment for social, emotional and behavioural difficulties in children and young people up to and including 18 years. For example, issues related to:
- ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) (not medication)
- Attachment difficulties
- Autism spectrum
- Divorce and separation
- Feeding difficulties
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Sibling relationships/ rivalry
- Sleep problems
- Social skills difficulties
- Toileting (wetting and soiling)
SCCPP does not offer neurodevelopmental assessments (for conditions such as autism, ADHD, and dyslexia); nor do we work with children and young people with moderate or severe learning difficulties.
Due to the part-time nature of my availability, and the fact that I am a lone practitioner, I am unable to manage children and young people presenting with moderate or severe levels of risk ie suicidal ideation and or moderate or significant self-harm. Similarly, I am unable to work with severe mental health problems where a multi-disciplinary team approach is necessary or where in-patient treatment might be needed. For example, we would not take on children with a full-blown eating disorder or psychosis.
